About Hoops To Heal

Hoops to Heal is a community outreach initiative led by the Hoopshop Girls Basketball Organization that focuses on serving families in need while teaching our student-athletes the importance of giving back. Through this program, our athletes learn that basketball is not only about competition, but also about compassion, leadership, and community responsibility.

Every three months, Hoopshop hosts a community resource fair that connects local families with essential support services such as rental assistance, utility bill assistance, food resources, and other community programs. These events bring together nonprofit organizations, community partners, and service providers to ensure families have access to the help they need.

In addition to our quarterly resource fairs, Hoopshop organizes several major community service events each year, including:

Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway serving an average of 500 community members, helping students start the school year prepared with school supplies.

Winter Coat Giveaway providing warm clothing to families and children during the colder months.

Additional community-focused outreach events aimed at supporting underserved families in our area.

These initiatives are powered by volunteers, community partners, and generous donors who share our commitment to strengthening our community.

Hoopshop also emphasizes youth leadership and service by encouraging our players to actively participate in these outreach efforts. Our girls help distribute supplies, assist families, and learn firsthand the value of helping those who may be less fortunate.

We are currently seeking donations and sponsorships to help expand the Hoops to Heal initiative and continue providing critical resources to the community. Contributions allow us to reach more families, distribute more supplies, and create meaningful service opportunities for our athletes.
